ABOUT DR. NISHIME

Dr. Robert Nishime, MD is a Family Physician in the heart of San Jose's Japantown.  Dr. Nishime is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Nishime completed his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, in Chicago.  He the attended Rush Medical College (Chicago, IL), where he compleeted his residency in Family Medicine.  Dr. Nishime moved to the Bay Area for his specialty training in Sports Medicine at the Stanford University affiliated program, currently named San Jose-O'Connor Hospital Sports Medicine Fellowship.

Dr. Nishime serves as the Chief of Sports Medicine for USA Judo.  He also is a team physician for San Jose State University Athletics, and San Jose State Judo.  Dr. Nishime is the medical consultant for the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA).
